Role: Senior HR Manager
The Amazon HR team is passionate about business partnering in its truest sense. Reporting to the Regional HR Manager, you will play a critical role in developing and delivering the HR plan at our location fulfilment centre and for the network as a whole. You will work closely with the senior site team and the wider HR network operations team, utilising your excellent communication, coaching and influencing skills to drive employee engagement and manage change. As a HR Manager you will partner the site leader and operate with a high level of autonomy. You will get exposure to many different aspects of the business and have the opportunity to work on national and international HR projects. Whatever you will focus on, it will all be aimed at delivering the highest quality service to our internal and external customers. Business Area: Operations – Fulfilment Centre
Operations is at the heart of the Amazon customer experience. Each action we undertake is completed on behalf of our customers because meeting and often exceeding their expectations makes us feel good. The Operations teams in our fulfilment centres are responsible for managing a vast range of fast-moving inventory. From receiving into the fulfilment centre to stowing, picking, packing and shipping to our customers, they work very hard to ensure that our customers receive what they want, when they want it. The HR Manager works as part of the senior leadership team on site, developing and delivering the HR plan whilst ensuring, through a team of HR Business Partners and HR Assistants, the effective delivery of an excellent, customer-focussed HR service to the operations team. Our annual Leadership review ensures that the great people we employ are developed and grow within our business. You’ll be the Leader of Talent Development at the site, you’ll own the succession plan and utilise these tools and the information they generate to identify the leaders of the future – our business is continuing to grow and we want to develop our people internally. You will take on the role of a coach and will work closely with your Senior Leaders and the HR team, mentoring and supporting them in the fulfilment of their personal goals and those of their teams. Partnering with the L&D team you will identify the learning interventions required for the site Management team and participate in National L&D projects and initiatives. Generalist HR
As an experienced Senior Generalist, you’ll lead and inspire your team. Your open communication and credible decision making will help Deliver Results within the site at a fast pace, you’ll definitely be someone with a Bias for Action. Most importantly, you’ll be fair, pragmatic and commercial - someone who is proactive, who enjoys being visible and delivering tangible results to your customers and the business as a whole.
