We are looking for an individual to join our Content Partner Acquisitions team based in Munich. This will be a highly visible role in the Amazon Channels team focusing on distribution deals for either existing or new third party SVOD, live or linear content services. It will make a significant contribution to the growth of our business in Germany and Austria.

Key responsibilities:
  • Identify opportunities for content distribution deals with existing third party OTT Video content players (e.g. SVOD services) across all content genres as well as with partners who are interested in creating new services in specific niches.
  • Negotiate and agree distribution deals with non-linear and linear content partners, e.g. TV channel groups, Studios, Content Aggregators and others video content players.
  • Manage the deals until launch of the service on Amazon Channels, facilitate the transition to the in-live team and maintain an ongoing relationship with the partners.
  • Support and take charge of the content related parts of more strategic projects of Amazon Channels beyond the day-to-day deal making.

Notwendige Qualifikationen

  • Extensive years of experience in the German TV business, e.g. as a Strategy Consultant or as part of a Business/Corporate Development/Distribution Team of a TV Channel group
  • Outstanding analytical skills, great aptitude for data and numbers, and strong attention to detail
  • Excellent deal and negotiation skills - instinctively commercial
  • Good contacts and relationships across the German TV industry
  • Excellent written and spoken English
  • Business degree / MBA qualification preferred
