Since 2015, Amazon.com has started reinventing on behalf of the business customer and is focused on building Amazon Business, the largest and most innovative Business-to-Business (B2B) marketplace in the world, and we are recruiting a handful of the best of the best to make this vision a reality in Germany. With the German launch of Amazon Business in December 2016, the team is dedicated to developing solutions that make it easy for business customers to buy on Amazon.de through an Amazon Business Account.

We are focused on building solutions that enables business customers to find, research, and buy products and services from a vast selection, across multiple devices, marketplaces and regions. Our customers include individual professionals, small businesses to large institutions (and everything in between). Our business customers have different needs than the traditional Amazon retail customers, and we are reinventing everything from how we display our selection, price our products, and provide the right customer experience.

Position Summary
The Senior Professional Services Manager will help organisations transform how they view and manage spend and best utilise Amazon Business for purchasing needs. The Senior Professional Services Manager will work directly with the sales team advising customers on transforming purchasing processes, engaging with executives, purchasing leadership and finance leadership to include Amazon Business as a key part of purchasing strategies, tools, and processes. The Senior Professional Services Manager is an expert in Amazon Business solutions and they structure programs that incorporate Amazon Business solutions into existing purchasing processes and/or develop new processes to improve efficiencies and reduce costs. They will work closely with customers to guide implementations and ensure that our solutions are successfully adopted. The ideal candidate will have experience developing relationships across functional areas such as Purchasing, Finance, and IT and has a proven track record of meeting and exceeding program goals and revenue targets.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Analyze current purchasing processes and evaluate opportunities for Amazon Business solutions to improve end user experiences, reduce costs, and accelerate organization performance
  • Drive and accelerate spend adoption through advising customers on best practices for using Amazon Business solutions
  • Define requirements and scope program for utilizing Amazon Business solutions
  • Oversee program execution including personnel assignment, project scheduling, technical integration, and timely delivery
  • Liaison with technical integration teams on both customer and Amazon Business side to ensure integration of Amazon Business in customer’s technology landscape
  • Assess program risks, anticipate challenges, and provide escalation management when necessary
  • Support of pre-sales activities and RFP/RFQ process and help sales team position Amazon Business for success with their customers
  • Support the sales teams in adoption of Amazon Business at customer sites
  • Focus on automating as many service needs for customers and work with Product Management and Technical teams to develop solutions that will increase solution adoption
  • Meet or exceed targets for customer and/or feature spend adoption
  • Relay market needs and requirements back to internal Amazon teams including Product Management, Technical and Category Management teams

Notwendige Qualifikationen

  • Several years services delivery or customer success management experience in B2B
  • BA/BS degree
  • Desire to work in fast-paced, challenging environment
  • Program management or services experience deploying technology solutions (incl. pre-sales support)
  • Excellent communications skills and the ability to effectively advise senior leadership
  • Ability to prioritize and demonstrate relentless discipline in achieving goals
  • Proven ability to influence others and lead customer engagements
  • Strong ownership, bias for action and willingness to role-up your sleeves
  • Exceptional English and German skills – both verbal and written.

Wünschenswerte Qualifikationen

  • B2B background in midsize and large multi-national enterprises; ability to work in cross-country engagements
  • Deep knowledge of procurement and source to pay processes and solutions
  • Knowledge of ERP landscapes (SAP, Oracle, MSFT) and technical integrations
  • Expert use of MS Office Suite, CRMs (e.g. Salesforce.com), sales and marketing automation tools, eLearning tools
  • Experience developing delivery methodologies
  • General understanding of change management and training in corporate organizations
