The Amazon Gift Card business is a rapidly growing, multi-billion dollar business that contributes significantly to Amazon’s success and growth. The Gift Card team is responsible for creating and launching Gift Card and Stored Value products sold globally through a variety of channels, including the Amazon website, direct corporate sales, retail stores, and other partnerships. As a result of robust growth, we are looking for an Account Manager (m/f), Gift Cards
to help us shape and expand Amazon’s Brick & Mortar (B&M) Gift Card business in the Germany region.
The Account Manager (m/f), Gift Cards
will own the relationship with our distribution partners, helping build and maintain key relationships at both the distributors and their portfolio of offline retailers, develop and manage opportunities, monitor projects and engage resources to drive growth through the sales of Amazon’s Gift Card products in Germany, Austria and beyond.
He/she will collaborate with internal and external cross functional teams, spanning product management, operations, engineering, customer service, finance, accounting, tax, legal and transaction risk/fraud management.
He/she will work with these groups to assess business needs and execute against a clearly developed growth strategy, helping (i) define the optimal promotional calendar and most effective marketing campaigns across multiple retail partners, (ii) develop and launch new products formats in line with local market preferences, (iii) draw insights from analyses of marketing campaigns and other growth efforts to drive increased efficacy, (iv) support card production and inventory control, and (v) ensure best-in-class customer experience and support.
This is a senior, individual contributor role that has high visibility within a dynamic, exciting team. Success in this position will require strong leadership skills, sound business acumen, excellent marketing fundamentals, first-rate analytical capabilities, superb time management skills and “big idea” creativity”. Core responsibilities include the following:
- Account and Relationship Management: act as the main point of contact for key distribution partners and their associated retailers, supporting all aspects of the Amazon Gift Card business including demand generation, product placements, marketing promotions, customer experience and customer service.
- Strategic Planning and Analysis: help define the right product strategy within our retail accounts and draw insights from all marketing and sales activities across the portfolio to inform demand and margin growth efforts.
- Marketing Program Management: help drive cost-effective marketing activities and optimize promotional campaigns.
- Process Improvement: drive continuous process improvement to scale this growing category in areas such as inventory management, marketing promotions and business performance reporting.
