Job Description

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is one of Amazon’s fastest growing businesses. We are passionate about thinking big, innovating on behalf of our customers, and tackling problems at scale.

We are looking for a UX Designer to join our diverse and experienced team in Berlin. You will work with other designers and developers in the team and across AWS. Our team’s mission is to improve the productivity and happiness of other AWS teams. We achieve this by diving deep on design challenges at scale, helping teams to create better experiences for all AWS customers. Our AWS-wide Design System includes UX patterns, user research, guidelines, visuals, and code.

You would be responsible to create and turn user insights into reusable and scalable design patterns. You will work closely with the rest of our team, other teams, and customers to help us scale the Design System to more use cases and services in AWS.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Design conceptual wireframes, high-fidelity mockups, information architecture diagrams, interaction specifications, and functional prototypes
  • Define UX patterns and guidelines
  • Present work to designers and developers in AWS

Notwendige Qualifikationen

  • At least five years of experience as a user experience designer, interaction designer, information architect, or similar UX-related roles
  • At least two years of experience working in a collaborative team and directly with developers for implementation of designs
  • Experience creating prototypes or highly detailed wire-frames for complex web applications
  • A strong design process
  • A portfolio or samples of work demonstrating relevant experience

Wünschenswerte Qualifikationen

  • Experience creating and maintaining on a style guide or design system
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present a strong rationale for design decisions
  • A bachelor's degree in interaction design, human-computer interaction (HCI), computer science (CS) or related UX degree
  • Demonstrated history of acquiring user data (e.g., conducting usability studies, performing user research)
  • Ability to prototype in HTML, JavaScript, and CSS
