Role: Senior Manager Employee Relations
The Amazon ER team is passionate about business partnering in its truest sense. Reporting to the DE Senior Manager Employee Relations, you will play a critical role in developing and delivering the ER plan across a number of fulfillment centers and for the DE network as a whole. You will work closely with the senior leadership teams and the wider HR network operations team, utilizing your excellent communication, coaching and influencing skills to drive employee engagement and manage change.
In a regional ER function, you will collaborate with the site leaders and operate with a high level of autonomy. You will get exposure to many different aspects of the business and have the opportunity to work on national and international ER and HR projects.
Whatever you will focus on, it will all be aimed at delivering the highest quality service to our internal and external customers.
Business Area: Operations / FC; partly specialty business (AMZL; PN; Fresh)
Operations is at the heart of the Amazon customer experience. Each action we undertake is completed on behalf of our customers because meeting and often exceeding their expectations make us feel good. The Operations teams in our fulfillment centers are responsible for managing a vast range of fast-moving inventory. From receiving into the fulfillment center to stowing, picking, packing and shipping to our customers, they work very hard to ensure that our customers receive what they want, when they want it.
The Senior ER Manager works as part of the senior leadership team, developing and delivering ER projects and programs whilst ensuring, through a team of local OPS and HR Managers, the effective delivery of an excellent, customer-focused ER service to the operations team. The Senior ER Manager is an integral role in the DE HR and EU ER team.

Your expertise in the field will allow you to support and advice your team and your customers on complex ER cases, Insisting on the Highest Standards in case management.
Works council management
Amazon respects the right of our employees to establish and join works councils, choosing and engage in constructive negotiations. You will be providing guidance to DE senior leadership team when developing or implementing WW, EU or DE projects and to local teams for topics arising from local management or works council. Furthermore, in partnership with legal, you will develop and provide projects, processes and guidelines for WC management to improve internal partnerships.
In labor relations, you support Amazon organization with strategic and operational advice in the current dispute with trade unions. This does include guidance and information about recent developments at union strategies, developing local contingency plans, labor dispute preparation trainings. You will also partner with PR for all labor relations related internal and external communication.
As an experienced Senior Generalist, you’ll lead and inspire other team.
