    Amazon seeks a Senior Financial Analyst (m/f) to play a key role in Finance Operations Accounting and Analysis out of Munich. In this role you will partner closely with the EU directors of Finance Operations and their leadership team on a European level. This is an exciting opportunity to drive business critical analysis for Amazon’s Retail and Corporate Accounts Payables. On top of this you will lead international projects to launch new business and offer accounting consulting. Your expertise in accounting analysis and project management will provide important intelligence to review financial statements and develop new scalable business launches.

    Key Responsibilities:
    • Report on the financial and business performance of retail, corporate and digital payables
    • Manage and lead internal balance sheet reviews with EU Senior Leadership
    • Support month end closing and provide analytics for Accounts Payables accounts on EU level
    • Lead international projects to assure the right accounting of new business initiatives and country expansions
    • Manage the analysis and testing of accounting transactions for new business or tool launches
    • Collaborate directly with offshore reconciliation teams and work on process improvements
    • Act as a liaison between Finance Operations and EU Central Accounting

    Notwendige Qualifikationen

    • Profound experience in Accounting
    • BA/BS degree required with major in accounting or finance
    • Independent and entrepreneurial attitude showing the ability to work with minimal direction
    • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines while managing multiple priorities in a fast paced, growing and ambiguous environment
    • Experience with understanding complex process flows and driving process improvements
    • Experience in writing of accounting documents and balance sheet commentary
    • You are highly analytical, detailed oriented, and enjoy developing new business reports
    • Strong interpersonal, written and oral communication skills. Strong presentation skills and the ability to guide and influence senior leadership

    Wünschenswerte Qualifikationen

    • Big 4 public accounting experience with Fortune 500 clients
    • Experience working with offshore support teams
    • Strong data gathering skills and ability to analyze big size files
    • You have sense for understanding Accounts Payables process flows and how to transfer such processes in accounting framework
